Shellito talks about Sex

First off, if you're looking for pictures of nekkid folk, you're going to be disappointed. I'm adding this section of synaesthetic.com because i have devoted much of my life to actively and rigorously questioning the false morality that so many Americans seem to embrace. That is, the belief that somehow pleasure equals sin, that spiritual progress can only be achieved by deprivation.

I believe that by shunning, denying, ridiculing and persecuting people for their sexuality, is nothing short of spiritual terrorism.

I see sexuality and spirituality as intertwined as night is to day. To deny one is to have a distorted, perverted and oftentimes, dangerous other.

Let me state upfront that i still have challenges to deal with when it comes to sexuality. Honestly, i don't understand tranvestism or transexuality, nor can i understand why anyone would "need" to hurt another for their own gratification (sadism), not can i empathize with those who feel the need to be degraded and/or humiliated to feel human (ie: excessive masochism). To a degree, i can respect that some people are engaged in such lifestyles but i feel there's a clear and distinct need to draw a line at any given behavior, be it sexual or not, when that behavior entails humiliation, degradation and excessive pain. It goes without saying, there will be no discussions of a few other topics, but those should be fairly obvious to almost everyone. But i have to admit that having friends who come from different walks of life are the key to understanding their point of view.

update, 19 August 2002 :: there is a broken link here, i know. I overwrote a file and
on top of that, i didn't finish my thoughts on the subject that i was writing about (porno's).
